Hi, I’m Tara! I came to Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge after being rescued from a difficult situation.

When I first arrived, I was very shut down, but I’ve slowly started to come out of my shell. These days you’ll usually find me waiting by the door when it’s time to eat.

I’m still a bit independent and prefer space from people, but I’m comfortable around other cats and enjoy playtime on my own terms.

While I continue to adjust, I would really appreciate a new toy for independent play, treats, and a warm blanket.
